U60-U61 Staging of HIV-infection

Superordinate classification: U00-U99 Chapter XXII

The staging is carried out according to the internationally used classification (1993) of the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Atlanta, USA). It results from the combination of a clinical category and a category for the amount of T-helper cells.
In order to do this one code from U60.-! and from U61.-! has to be chosen. If U60.9! has been picked the analogous code U61.9! has to be used and vice versa.

• U61.- Number of T-helper cells in case of HIV-disease
