Superordinate classification: U80-U85 Infection pathogens with resistance against certain antibiotics or chemotherapeutics
This category is provided for use when a bacterial agent is resistant to two or more antibiotics but there is insufficient detail to determine which antibiotic is contributing most to the "main condition". It should also be used for primary tabulation purposes when it is more convenient to record a single code; otherwise each specific antibiotic-resistant agent should be coded separately.
