Miotyki i leki przeciw jaskrze: Pilocarpine

Indication: Treatment of severe xerostomy after radiation therapy of tumors in the ORL-region or symptoms of xerostomy in patients with Sjögren's syndrome

Side effects: Headache, dizziness, lacrimal flow, blurred vision, changes of visual power, cardiac palpation, vasodilatation, high blood pressure, rhinitis, dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting, obstipation, flatulences, slight or medium outbreaks of sweat, allergic reactions with dermal rash and pruritus, increased micturition frequency, influenza syndrome, sensation of coldness, asthenia

Dosage:

• Radiation-induced xerostomy: adults: 5 mg (1 coated tablet) 3x per day
• Sjögren's syndrome: adults: 5 mg (1 coated tablet) 4x per day
